He was a mechanic and an auto body repairman. He was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of Russell County, KY, at the time of his death. He was the son of the late Hollis & Hazel Lea Richards Pierce. He leaves three direct living descendants. His final resting place will be in his native Adair County.

Kenton Lyle Pierce, 56, of Russell Springs, died Friday, November 13, 2015 at his home.

Funeral service for Kenton Lyle Pierce will be 1pmCT, Sunday, November 15, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Daryl Coe officiating. Visitation will be after 9amCT, Sunday at the funeral home. Interment in the Grider Cemetery.


Active Pallbearers: Steven Pierce, Terry Pierce, Ted Cain, Wesley Pierce Jordan Wethington, Michael Pierce, and Chris Pierce.

Honorary Pallbearers: Leonard Pierce, Marty Kazsuk, Eric Kazsuk, and Greg Lawson.

He was born April 24, 1959 in Columbia, Adair County, KY. He was the son of the late Hollis & Hazel Lea Richards Pierce. He died Friday, November 13, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 56 years, six months, and 20 days.

He was a mechanic and auto body repairman.

Survivors include the following:
  • Three children: Casey (Jordan) Wethington, Russell Springs, KY; Wesley (Jessica) Pierce, Columbia, KY; and Kimberly Pierce, Auburn, KY.

  • One sister: Vickie (Ted) Cain, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Steven (Patty) Pierce, Russell Springs, KY; and Terry (Sonja) Pierce, Russell Springs, KY

  • Two brothers: Steven (Patty) Pierce and Terry (Sonja) Pierce, both of Russell Springs, KY
  • The family requests that expressions of sympathy be made to the Kenton Lyle Pierce Memorial Fund. These can be made at the funeral home.
