Bennie Lee Dubree, 79, Summer Shade, KY (1936-2015)

He was retired from Green Mechanical, and of the Church of Christ faith. He was a founding director of the Summer Shade Fire Department. His wife, Loretta Murley Dubree, survives. He leaves five direct living descendants.

Bennie Lee Dubree, age 79, of Summer Shade, died Wednesday, November 11, 2015, at Glasgow Health and Rehab, Glasgow, KY.

Funeral services will be Sunday, November 15, 2015 at 2pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with Bro. Brian Fox officiating. Burial will follow in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1pmCT and on Sunday, November 12, 2015 after 7amCT until time of services.


Bennie Lee Dubree, 79, Summer Shade, KY (1936-2015)


Born June 18, 1936 in the Persimmon community, he was a son of the late John Barlow Dubree and Ruby Bartley Dubree, He died Wednesday, November 11, 2015, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 79 years, four months, and 24 days.

He was retired from Green Mechanical, and of the Church of Christ faith. He was a founding director of the Summer Shade Fire Department.


Survivors, in addition to his wife, include:
  • Two sons: Greg and his wife Myra Dubree, Summer Shade, KY; and Jeff Dubree, Summer Shade, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Jordan (Peanut) Harper and her husband Lee Harper, and Tyler Dubree

  • One great grandchild: Jensen Harper

  • Two sisters: Sue Wheat, Tompkinsville, KY; and Linda Jones, Glasgow, KY

  • And two brothers: John Dubree, Naples, FL and Kermit Dubree, Tompkinsville, KY
He was preceded in death besides his parents, by two brothers James C. and David Dubree, and one sister Myrtle Dubree; three half brothers Wallace, Carl and Marshall Dubree and two half sisters, Chole Frances Birge and Melba Campbell.
