Rebecca Price and Tammy McWhorter, both in the Office of Counseling Services, set up a table in the lobby of the Winters Dining Hall during the lunch hours where students, faculty and staff put names on a card that made the American flag and then their veteran was presented with a red, white and blue ribbon. "We realize that there might be soldiers who are students here who might benefit from counseling services, and it gives us the opportunity to put a face to a name," McWhorter said. Mar'Rajaah McDaniel, a CU student from Louisville, honored her grandfather, and cousin, former Marines, at the Veterans Day table in the Winters Dining Hall. "Veterans Day means a lot to me. I enjoy calling and telling my grandfather and cousin and telling them how much I appreciate them and what they've done for this country," McDaniel said. A cookout took place in evening to honor the faculty, staff and students who are veterans at 5pmET, behind the Student Activities Center. The Student Government Association will present a brief program. There will be an opportunity to pack care packages. "We have been designated a Military Friendly School," Dr. Michael V.
