Ten LWC Volleyball student-athletes earn Academic All MSC honors

By Charles Balcom

COLUMBIA, KY Ten members of the Lindsey Wilson volleyball program earned Academic All Mid-South Conference honors, the MSC office announced on Tuesday, November 10, 2015.

Grace Blomstedt, Breanna Givens, Rachel Green, Haley Holt, Jamie Jehne, Alexa Just, Makenzie Montano, Andrea Roberts, Caitlyn Tino and Kalie Winkler all earned a spot on the academic all-conference list.

Jehne, Just and Winkler each pick up their second-career award.

In order to be nominated by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved at least sophomore academic status.

The Blue Raiders, along with Campbellsville (KY) and Georgetown (KY), each had 10 student-athletes honored, the most of any institution.

Community Trust Bank, founded in 1903 in Pikeville, Kentucky, and currently serves the people and communities of Kentucky, West Virginia and Tennessee with 71 banking locations, including Columbia, is the sponsor of the Mid-South Conference Academic Award program.
