Bobby Damron Johnson, 79, Jabez, KY (1936-2015)

He was a U.S. Army veteran and will be accorded full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard. He was the son of the late Herman & Beatrice Damron. His wife, Sue Ellen Johnson, survives. He leaves eight direct and four step living descendants.

Bobby Damron Johnson, 79, of the Jabez Community, passed away Monday, November 9, 2015 at his home. Graveside service for Bobby Damron Johnson will be 2pmCT. Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the FairviewCemetery with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard. Visitation will be from 1pm to 2pmCT, Saturday, Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY.


He was a Veteran of US Army. He was preceded in death by his step mother, Earlene Johnson and his first wife, Helen, the mother of his daughters.

He was born July 2, 1936 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of the late Herman & Beatrice Damron Johnson. He died Monday, November 9, 2015, in Jabez, KY, at the age of 79 years, four months, and seven days.

Survivors include his wife, Sue Ellen Johnson, Nancy, KY and the following:
  • Two daughters: Shelly Johnson, Michigan; and Sheila (David) Bilkey, Knoxville, TN

  • Six grandchildren: Aaron, Cortland, and Caitlyn Gambino; and Hannah, Isabella, and Abigail Bilkey

  • Four step grandchildren: Kristen, Courtney, Haley, Natalie
