The Funeral Procession will leave EKU at the end of the service and will proceed approximately 100 miles to Adair County, KY. Procession Route carrying Det. Corrections for route from Russell Springs have been made. "KY 70" corrected to "KY 76"; "Turn Left" at KY 76 & KY 206 changed to "Turn right," and the "Turn left" on Pellyton East Road has been corrected to "Turn right." EKU Traffic Alert: Expect delays on and around the EKU Richmond Campus on Wednesday. Expect road closures along the following route. It is unknown exactly what time these roads will close. LOCAL TRAFFIC ALERT: Russell, Casey, and Adair County Sheriffs will be blocking traffic at intersections along the way. They expect lengthy delays, of as much as one hour or more along the way, and ask travelers to plan alternate routes. Vernon. The hearse carrying the slain hero's body is at the rear of the procession, which just cleared the Richmond Exit on I-65. - Kristi Runyon Middleton, EKU. 01:30pmCT - Adair County Schools and Russell County Schools released students one hour early to pay respect to the family and to assure that bus routes could be run on a regular routes. Adair County Transportation Director David Jones reported that buses are encountering no problems at this time. 01:21pmCT - Adair County Emergency Management Director Mike Keltner said that already about 60 cars are gathered near Pellyton Cemetery, 100 Pellyton East Road, Adair County.
