Roger Lee Smith, 62, Russell County, KY (1953-2015)

He was a native of Somerset, KY, and a resident of Park City, KY at the time of his death. He was a 1971 graduate of Russell County High School, the 28th of that class to pass on. He was the son of the late Harley Smith and Beatrice Mae King Smith, who survives, as does his wife, Loretta Sue Hamm Smith. He leaves three direct living descendants.

Funeral service for Roger Lee Smith will be 11amCT, Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Clint Hudson officiating. Visitation after 5pmCT, Thursday. Interment in the Humble Cemetery. Pallbearers: Gary Smith, Curtis Smith, Boyd Hill, Jack Hill, Tracy Smith, and Clinton Smith

Roger Lee Smith, 62, of Park City, Ky (formerly of Russell Co) died Tuesday at his home. He was born May 25, 1953 in Somerset, Pulaski Co., KY. He was the son of the late Harley Smith and Beatrice Mae King Smith, who survives. He died Tuesday, November 3, 2015, in Park City, KY, at the age of 62 years, five months, and nine days.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Exie Williams and a niece, Kathy Hedger.

Survivors include:
  • His wife: Loretta Sue Hamm Smith, Park City, KY

  • Two children: Julie Hudson, Bowling Green, KY; and Curtis Smith, Park City KY

  • One grandchild: Dane Hudson

  • Mother: Beatrice Smith, Jamestown, KY

  • One sister: Helen (Boyd) Hill, Dunnville, KY

  • Three brothers: Gary smith, Dunnville, KY; Tracy Smith, Russell Springs, KY:and Bruce Smith, Dunnville, KY
