Gary Merrill Norris, 55, New Port Richey, FL (1959-2015)

He lived his childhood and young adult life in Cumberland County, graduated Cumberland County High School and then attended Western Kentucky University. He attended the Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church faithfully before moving to Florida. It always remained his home church. He was employed by Mallory Capacitor, Inc. in Glasgow, KY many years before relocating to Florida.

Gary Merrill Norris, age 55, of New Port Richey, Florida, formerly of Cumberland County passed away on May 19, 2015, at the Marliere Care Center in New Port Richey, Florida.

A Joint memorial service will held Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 2pmCT, for Elizabeth Gay Whittenburg Norris, Gary Merrill Norris, and Jeffrey Gale Norris at the Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church, 370 Rose of Sharon Road, Burkesville, KY. with Bro. Gary Cash officiating with music by Jeremy and Jade Wright.

He was born June 1, 1959 in Albany, Clinton County, Kentucky the son of Eudene Merrill and Gay Whittenburg Norris. He lived his childhood and young adult life in Cumberland County, graduated Cumberland County High School and then attended Western Kentucky University. He attended the Rose of Sharon United Methodist Church faithfully before moving to Florida. It always remained his home church. He was employed by Mallory Capacitor, Inc. in Glasgow, KY many years before relocating to Florida.

He was preceded in death by his father Eudene Merrill Norris; his grand-parents, Charlie and Lula Carter Norris and Rowen and Nola Harmon Whittenburg; and his aunt, Fay Whittenburg; his mother, Gay Whittenburg Norris and his brother, Jeffrey Gale Norris were surviving at the time of his death, but his brother has since passed away on June 15, 2015 and his mother has since passed away on September 21, 2015.

He is still survived by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.

Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, is honored to be in charge of arrangements.
