Dorothy Devney, 87, died Saturday, October 24, 2015 at the home of her son in Danville, KY.

Funeral service for Dorothy Devney will be 1:30pmCT, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the Bernard Funeral Home Chapel, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY , with Rev. Jimmy Fields officiating. Visitation will be after 12pmNoonCT, Thursday, at the funeral home. Interment in the Russell Springs City Cemetery.

Dorothy Devney, 87, Russell Co., KY (1928-2015)

She was born April 10, 1928 in McQueary County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Scott & Nannie Baird Lovett. She died Saturday, October 24, 2015, in Danville, Boyle County, KY at the age of 87 years, six months, and 14 days.

She was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Devney; three children, Selva Jean Myers, and Margie Popplewell, Wilbern Myers; a sister, Alma Ruth Lovett; and a brother, Fred Lovett.

Survivors include:
  • Two children: Deborah (Jack) Baker, Hamilton, Ohio; and Jonathan (Virgie) Devney, Danville, KY

  • Seventeen grandchildren

  • Several great grandchildren

  • Two sisters: Anna Kidd, Ohio; and Retha, Florida
