Christine Johnson, 70, Columbia, KY (1944-2015)

She was a native of Jamestown, KY, and a resident of Columbia, KY at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Elmer & Ima (Johnson) Bell. Her husband, Ronnie Johnson, survives. She was the matriarch of a large, respected family, with many relatives in Adair and Russell Counties, KY; Hamilton County, IN, and elsewhere. She leaves 11 direct living descendants. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker.

Christine Johnson, 70, Lee Bob Carter Road, Columbia, KY, died Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Services will be at 11amCT, Tuesday, October 27, 2015, at the H.E.Pruitt Memory Chapel, 202 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY, with Bro. Wayne Keith officiating. Visitation will be Monday, October 26, 2015, after 5pmCT. Burial will be in Jamestown Cemetery, 201 N Main Street, Jamestown, KY.



Christine Johnson, 70, Columbia, KY (1944-2015)

She was born December 24, 1944, in Jamestown, Russell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Elmer & Ima (Johnson) Bell. She died Saturday, October 24, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 70 years, 10 months.

She was a homemaker.

Her husband, Ronnie Johnson, Columbia, KY, survives. She is also survived by the following:
  • A son: Thomas (Vickie) R. Johnson, Albany, KY

  • Three daughters: Beverly Bradfield, Tracy (Montie) Shover, and Debra K. Johnson, all of Columbia, KY

  • Three brothers: Paul Bell and James Bell, both of Noblesville, IN; and Hobert Bell, Sheraton, IN

  • Six grandchildren

  • One great grandchild
She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Jeffrey Johnson; three sisters, Emma ande Madeline Appleby, and da Elsey; and two brothers, Preston and Ray Bell.
