Traffic Advisory: Bluegrass Pkwy. closed near Nelson-Hardin county line

By Chris Jessie, Public Information Officer
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, District 4, Elizabethtown, KY

Elizabethtown, KY - (8:30amCT, Wed 21 Oct 2015) Bluegrass Parkway Westbound is closed near the Nelson Hardin County Line due to a possible bridge deck issue.

KYTC Bridge Crews are inspecting the location. Media and the general public should be aware preliminary descriptions indicate this is not a structural integrity issue.

Motorists must use Exit 10 and proceed to US 62 and continue West toward Elizabethtown.

The duration of the closure is unknown at this time.

We will update this advisory after inspectors evaluate the bridge deck. - Chris Jessie
