He leaves nine direct living descendants. He was a member of Melson Ridge Separate Baptist Church, retired UPS Truck Driver with 28 years and was a member of local Teamsters Union #651

Charles D. Lawless age 71 years of Russell Springs, KY passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 12:05pmCT, at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at 11amCT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Bodie Emerson the officiating clergy. Interment in the Shearer Cemetery at Cundiff, KY. Visitation will be after 4:30pmCT, Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at the funeral home.



Pallbearers Ryan Lawless, Justin Blumenfeld, Kobe Polston, Billy Helm, Stevie Helm and Richie Huddleston.

He was born on Sunday, July 23, 1944 in Russell County, KY, He was the son of the late Clyde & Nell Antle Lawless. He died Saturday, October 10, 2015, in Russell Springs, Russell County, KY, at the age of 71 years, two months, and 17 days.
BR> Survived by his wife Shirley Helm Lawless of Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Jeffrey Lawless and his wife Robin of Russell Springs, KY; and Oral Nell Lawless and his wife Denise of Kingsland, GA

  • One daughter: Tammy Underwood and her husband James of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two brothers: Johnny Lawless of El Pasco, TX; and Irvin Lawless of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two sisters: Mollie Selby of Russell Springs, KY; and Diane Cutrer of Waco, TX

  • A good friend: Everett Harvey of Russell Springs, KY

  • Five grandchildren

  • One great grandchild

  • Several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends
He was a member of Melson Ridge Separate Baptist Church, retired UPS Truck Driver with 28 years and was a member of local Teamsters Union #651.
