Debbie Nobles: Wants list of educational accomplishments

Comments about: Comments re photo 62152 Adair Co School Board Stunning rejection of spectacular progress
Note: A very valid question: CM will be posting academic accomplishments, which match - maybe exceed - the aesthetic accomplishments and the unprecedented financial achievements in the three years of the current school superintendent's tenure. _EW

Personal commentary

My children have graduated, but I do have a grandchild in the school system. There is no denying Mr. Reed has made the school grounds look pretty, but my concern is with the education of the children.

I would like to see a listing of Mr. Reed's educational accomplishments, not just the aesthetic ones.

I worry that there are not enough books, not enough materials, that the teachers and parents must pay for supplies necessary for learning out of their own pockets...but the schools look pretty.

Are our children and grandchildren any better prepared (educated) now to move into the "real" world that they were before Mr. Reed? Or are we just sending them to pretty buildings and giving them a mediocre education?

Thank you for your coverage and the opportunity you give our community to share ideas and comments. --Debbie Nobles
