Personal commentary

I am terribly disturbed by the lack of support for Alan Reed by the school board. Mr. Reed has done more to bring real change to Adair County, to improve the educational opportunities for our children, bring positive state-wide attention to our community and encourage new businesses to locate here than all of the kings’ horses and all the kings’ men and all of their committees combined.

He has made me and many others proud to be part of this community.

I am encouraged that at least two the board members, Mike Harris and Floyd Burton showed good sense. I applaud them and I am grateful that much of the work done my Mr. Reed cannot easily be undone!

I do hope the the board will see the folly of what has been done and join Mr. Harris and Mr. Burton and support the man who has done so much to make this community a better place and give out kids a brighter future.

Please do reconsider!
