Mrs. Nelda Sue Hurt Hagan, 71, Burkesville, KY (1943-2015)

She was a member of Living Word Ministries Church and a beautician. She was a native of the Allen's Creek Community of Cumberland County, KY, and a resident of Burkesville, KY, at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Bernal and Edith Smith Hurt and the widow of Clifford Hagan.

Mrs. Nelda Sue Hurt Hagan, 71, Burkesville, KY passed away on Friday, September 11, 2015 at the Cumberland Valley Manor in Burkesville, Kentucky where she resided for several years.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Sunday, September 13, 2015 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, Kentucky with Bro. Dana Coverstone and Bro. Joe Vibbert officiating. Burial will be in the Grider Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 5pmCT, on Saturday, September 12, 2015, until the funeral hour on Sunday.



Mrs. Nelda Sue Hurt Hagan, 71, Burkesville, KY (1943-2015)


She was born in the Allens Creek Community of Cumberland County, Kentucky on Sunday, November 28, 1943. She was the daughter of Bernal and Edith Smith Hurt. She died Friday, September 11, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 71 years, nine months, and 14 days.

She was a member of Living Word Ministries Church and a Beautician.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Hagan, her son, Cliff Alexander Hagan, her aunt, Sally Vibbert and her uncle, Talbert Smith.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her special cousins: Mike and Kathy Mosby of Marrowbone, Kentucky

  • Her cousins: Joel Smith of Glasgow, Kentucky, Carolyn Smith Davis of London, Kentucky, and Joe Vibbert and Brenda Wright, both of Louisville, Kentucky

  • Her special friend: Arilla Murley of Burkesville, Kentucky

  • And several other cousins
In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to the Grider Memorial Cemetery Fund.
