Whitfield announces $40K grant for Tompkinsville Airport By Marty Irby WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Representative Ed Whitfield (KY-01) is pleased to announce a $40,000 grant by the Federal Aviation Administration through the U.S. Department of Transportation. Tompkinsville-Monroe County Airport Board will receive these federal funds for the removal of obstructions in the runway approach and transitional surfaces. "I am pleased to see Tompkinsville-Monroe County Airport receive these important federal funds," said Whitfield.
