Frankfort, KY (10amCT, 28 Aug 2015) - The Commonwealth of Kentucky Court of Appeals has upheld the murder conviction of Jeffrey McGaha in the death of Mike Cowan, appealed from a March 7, 2015 order of the Adair County Circuit order denying McGaha's post-conviction motion for relief pursuant to the Kentucky Rules of Criminal Procedure (RCr) 11.42 without evidentiary hearing.

The opinion in the case heard before Justices Justices Jones, J. Lambert and Maze, concluded, "Because we hold that the record refutes the issues of fact and that he is not entitled to relief, we affirm the order on appeal." The complete opinion can be read at Commonwealth of Kentucky PDF.
