Mrs. Linda Long Franklin, 64, Burkesville, KY (1951-2015)

She was a homemaker and a seamstress at Sutton Shirt Corporation, and a member of Red Banks United Methodist Church. She was a native of Cumberland County and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the lkate William Frank and Zelma Maggie Scott Long, and the wido of Donnie Ray Franklin. She leaves 18 direct living descendants.

Mrs. Linda Long Franklin, age 64, of Burkesville, KY, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at her residence in Burkesville.

Funeral Services for Linda Long Franklin will be conducted on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at 2pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Bro. Charles Huddleston officiating. Burial will be in the Long Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 5pmCT, on Monday, August 24, 2015 until the funeral hour on Tuesday.

She was born in Cumberland County, KY on Thursday, March 1, 1951, the daughter of William Frank and Zelma Maggie Scott Long. She died Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at the age of 64 years, five months, and 17 days.

She was a member of Red Banks United Methodist Church, a Seamstress for Sutton Shirt Corporation and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Ray Franklin; her son, Billy Joe Branham; her sister, Annie May Riddle; and infant grandson, Dwayne Branham.

She is survived by the following:
  • Her children: Quentin (and Laura) Branham of Burkesville, KY; Frankie (and Judy) Branham of Edmonton, KY; April Branham of Burkesville, KY; Mitzi (and Josh) Brooks of Edmonton, KY; Willie (and Kathy) Branham of Edmonton, KY

  • Her sisters: Minnie Young of Burkesville, KY and Lennie Long of Edmonton, KY

  • Her 11 grandchildren: Christopher Rice, Savannah Branham, Dakota Branham, Harlie Jo Branham, Jordan Branham, Miranda Branham, Brooky Brown, Nathaniel Hall, Isaiah Wilson, Caitland Branham, Rosalee Brooks

  • Her great-granddaughter: Dixie Capps.
