Click on headline to see program outline By Ed Waggener The Adair County Fiscal Court, meeting Tue 11 Aug 2015, approved a recommendation by Mike Keltner, Emergency Management Director, to upgrade the Code Red Alert with enhancements including automatic storm warning messaging, and "levels of service" for citizens to opt out of some messages. Keltner told the court that the changeover can be made on the current contract, and that, on renewal, the county will save $400-600 per year vs. current rates on the older system. Keltner's recommendation was approved, 8-0, on a motion by Magistrate Daryl Flatt (District 2), with a second by Billy Dean Coffey (5); with Magistrates Harold Burton (1), Sammy Baker (3), Perry Reeder (4), Greg Caldwell (6), and Terry Hadley and CJE Mike Stephens joining in the affirmative for an 8-0 approval.
