Bank of Columbia will be repository for Adair Fiscal Court funds

The Adair County Fiscal Court at its Tue 11 Aug 2015 meetig, voted 8-0 to give the Bank of Columbia a two year contract to be the repository for all county funds.

In the past, Treasurer Barry Corbin said, the county has received 0.15%, one-seventh the new amount.



Other banks presenting proposals were First & Farmers National Bank, United Citizens Bank, and Community Trust Bank.

The vote was 8-0 to accept the Bank of Columbia's Bid. Now all the county's money will be in one bank. In the past funds were deposited in more than one. CJE Michael Stephens said that the system is similar to the way Lindsey Wilson College and the Adair County School Board deposits funds.

The winning bid came from the Bank of Columbia, which will now be the sole repository for Adair County Fiscal Court Funds.
