State Auditor requested to do audit of Adair Ambulance Service

Adair Fiscal Court, Regular Session, August 11, 2015

By Ed Waggener

Adair County Judge Mike Stephens announced at the opening of tonight's August 11, 2015 regular session of Adair Fiscal Court that he had delivered a letter to the Adair Ambulance Service Board that, after consulting with Kentucky State Auditor Adam Edelen, he was requesting a state audit of the books of the taxing district. "We are not implying guilt on anyone's part," he said.

Judge Stephens said, "My reasoning was to be 100% transparent to the citizens of Adair County (tax payers) as they are the owners of the EMS taxing district."
