Our wonderful teachers from China share same last name . . .

Yesterday, for the first time, CM readers were introduced to our two wonderful Chinese language teachers at Adair County High School. In the CM caption with this photo: Two new shining stars - Chinese language teacher, they were early-on - since corrected - listed as "sisters." Supt. Alan Reed sends the following note to clarify. The original cutline has now been updated. - CM

By Alan W. Reed, Superintendent

The are a handful of last names in China. These two ladies share a common last name, Zhang, but are un-related. They come from cities that are widely separated. They are not sisters.

They are delightful and are certified, degreed teachers from the country that is our number one trading partner.

Thanks for letting me clear this up. - Alan Reed, Superintendent
