Mrs. Cape was a member of the Tabor Community Church and was a retired secretary for Reed Brothers Insurance Company with 32 years of service. She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Charlie & Sallie Frances Moore Sneed, and the widow of Preston "Sonny" Cape.
