Margaret Marie Smith Edmiston Morris, age 69, of Summer Shade, KY, died Sunday, August 2, 2015, at NHC in Glasgow, KY

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 5, 2015, at 1pmCT, at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, Burial will follow in the Family cemetery. Visitation will begin Monday, August 3, 2015, at 2pmCt, and continue after 7amCT Tuesday, August 4, 2015, and after 7amCT, on Wednesday until time of services.

Born Monday, December 24, 1945, in Springfield, Clark County, Ohio. She was a daughter of the late George and Edith Bartley Smith. She died Sunday, August 2, 2015, in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, at the age of 69 years, seven months, and nine days. She was a housewife and farmed. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include:
  • One daughter, Carol (Jason) Young, Summer Shade, KY

  • Three sons: Tommy Edmiston, Edmonton, KY; Craig Edmiston, Summer Shade, KY; and Johnny (Vera) Edmiston, Pikeville, KY

  • Two sisters: Shirley and Mary Ann Smith, both of Ohio

  • Four brothers: Harold, Howard, and Mairon Smith, all of Ohio;; and Robert Smith, of Pikeville, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren: Paytron, Johnna, Justin, Makayla, Dustin, Gregory, Josh, Chuck, Tyler, Katie, and Josh

  • Four great grandchildren: Kynleigh, Kayleigh, Grayson, and Aubrey
She was preceded in death, by her husband, Glen Morris, one daughter, Edith Edmiston, one grandchild, Colton Young, and several brothers and sisters.

McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, in charge of arrangements.
