Mr. Linwood Childers, and departed this life on July 19, 2015 at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin, IL.

There will be a graveside service to honor the life of Mr. Linwood Childers on Friday, July 31, 2015 at 4pmCT/5pmET, at the Brookside Cemetery, E Main Street, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Neil Salvaterra will be officiating. There will be no public visitation.

Mr. Linwood Childers was born on Tuesday, October 1, 1940 to the late Trapper and Della Tommie (Reed) Childers in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, and departed this life on July 19, 2015 at the Herrin Hospital in Herrin, Williamson County, IL. He was 74 years, 9 months, and 18 days of age.

Although he was encumbered with many earthly disabilities, Mr. Childers professed faith in Christ and was of the Methodist faith. He leaves to cherish his memory:
  • Rita Childers of Campbellsville, KY

  • Several nieces and nephews

  • And a host of extended family and friends
Besides his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Wendell Childers and Manuel Reed.
