Ms. Donna Sue Richerson Mendoza, 51, departed this life on July 24, 2015 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Ms. Donna Sue Richerson Mendoza on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at 12pmNoonCT/1pmCT, at the L.R. Petty Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 1765 New Columbia Road, Campbellsville, KY 42718. Bro. Wendall Roberts will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4pm-7pmCT/5pm-8pmET, on Monday, July 27, 2015. To fulfill the wishes of Ms. Mendoza, after the funeral, cremation rites will be accorded her.

Ms. Donna Sue Richerson Mendoza was born on December 17, 1963 in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY. She was the daughter of David and Jannett Richerson. She departed this life on July 24, 2015 at the Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, Russell County, KY. She was 51 years, 6 months, and 7 days of age.

Ms. Mendoza was a homemaker and a nursing assistant. She professed faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith.

She leaves to cherish her memory:
  • Three children: Travis Hosack of Jamestown, KY; Kristopher Gallagher and wife Ashley, also of Jamestown, KY; and Karis Gallagher and fiance' Paul Downs of Russell Springs, KY

  • One brother: David Richerson and wife Teresa of Campbellsville, KY

  • A step-brother and a step-sister: Patrick and Amanda Benham, both of Campbellsville, KY

  • Seven grandchildren: Amanda Lynne Warriner, Nathaniel Wayne Hosack, Mariah Rena-Marlane Hosack, Kiera Nicole Gallagher, Averie Brooke Gallagher, Davonica Gracylin Downs, and Benjamin Wayne Downs

  • And a host of other family and friends
