George Willliam (Bill) Berge, Jr., 83, Burkesville, KY (1931-2015)

He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, retiring after 20 years of service. He was a native of Cook County, IL and a resident of Cumberland County, KY, at the time of his death. His wife, Lois Simpson Berge, survives. He leaves six direct living descendants.

George William "Bill" Berge, Jr. age 83, of Burkesville, KY passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 at Cumberland County Hospital, Burkesville, KY.

Cremation has been chosen and there will be no visitation.

George William (Bill) Berge, Jr., 83, Burkesville, KY (1931-2015)

Bill was born on July 21, 1931 in Chicago, Cook County, IL. He was the son of late George William Berge, Sr., and Marvel Griffith Berge. He died on Friday, July 17, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland, County, KY, at the age of 83 years, 11 months, and 27 days.


Survivors include:
  • His wife: Lois Simpson Berge of Burkesville, KY

  • One son: Scott Stewart Berge of Nashville, TN

  • One daughter: Laurie Anne Bryson of Ocala, FL

  • One brother: Bob Berge of Rock Creek, OH

  • Two grandchildren: Susan Wilson and Kevin Bryson

  • Two great grandchildren: Emily Wilson, Julie Wilson
