Wonders why court is hesitant to pay lawyer

Ashley Miller writes:
I have to question why the Court is hesitant to pay this attorney's bill. The Adair County Board of Elections has jurisdiction over both city and county elections, and the Court has jurisdiction over the Board. The Board voted to appeal the decision, therefore the Board and the Court are responsible for the bill. The last thing the County needs in another lawsuit or a lien. Whomever authorized the Attorney to file the Appeal must have signed an Agreement with the Attorney for the work. This bill is dated June 29th so by the August 11th meeting it will be more than 30 days old and subject to Collections. Let's not hide from our obligations. - Ashley Miller
