Tornado strikes in Ebenezer area, knocks out power Click on headline for item with photos by Don Salmon By Larry Smith & Don Salmon 92.7 the WAVE and 99.9 the Big Dawg A tornado touched down in the Ebenezer community of Southerm Green County and parts of Southern Taylor County on Tuesday, July 14, 2017 causing widespread damage to farm structures, uprooting trees, and causing a great deal of roof and limb damage. The tornado resulted in Taylor County RECC power outages for much of the day for large parts of Taylor County, as well. The National Weather Service classified the event as an EF-1 tornado, one that has winds of 86-110 MPH. This story was posted on 2015-07-15 20:24:21
