Phyllis Allis Greenough, age 64, of Edmonton, KY; passed away Sunday, July 12, 2015 after fighting a courageous battle of cancer for the past three years.

Memorial services will be held 2pmCT, Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY.



She was born in Homer, New York the daughter of the late Melvin Allis and Kathryn Schweirs McVay of Edmonton, KY, who survives.

Phyllis served three years in the Womens Army Corp and worked for many years at the Breeding Market in Breeding, Kentucky. Phyllis wants everyone to know "she is stilling smiling."

Besides her mother she is survived by the following:
  • Sister: Betsy (Ron) DePersis, Schenectady, NY

  • Brother: Peter Allis of Homer, NY

  • Niece: Corrine DePersis and husband Dom Zarlengo

  • Nephews: Matt DePersis, NYC, NY; and Morgan Allis, Locke, NY

  • Great niece: Madeleine

  • Cousins: Kathleen Luckey, Jimmy Luckey, Jennifer Pierce and Mary Pringle all of Edmonton, KY

  • Special second cousins: Josh, Emmalee, Madison, Jacob, Daniel, Caleb, Nate, Jeremy and Megan.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 E Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
