Adair Co. Fiscal Court: Road department fleet upgraded

The Adair Fiscal Court authorized CJE Mike Stephens to complete the paperwork on a truck purchase previously authorized from for a County Road Department vehicle purchased from Jamestown Auto Sales, Inc for $18,500.00 for a 2014 Dodge Ram, with 6,060 miles, with a rebuilt title.



The truck, County Road Foreman Terry Corbin reported in open court, had been delivered, is in service, and has exhibited no issues thus far. The court unanimously voted to issue a check for the purchase and voted to authorized CJE Mike Stephens to sign the necessary paperwork. The new truck came with a 120 day warrantyl

Benny Burton presented the high and winning bid for the surplus Adair County Road Departments surplus Ford 7740, witha bid of $5,010. The list of bids, opened and with the winning bid announced by CJE Mike Stephens in Adair Fiscal Court, 14 Jul 2014, and the balance of the bids sent by Deputy Judge Holly Grimsley, after requested is as follows:
  1. Benny Burton, $5,010.00
  2. Eugene Cowan - $4,376.00
  3. G & G Motors - 4,298.00
  4. GICO Sales, Inc - $4,265.00
  5. Billy Coffey - $2,501.00
  6. Ricky Bennett - $2,200.00
The action was taken in the regular July 14, 2015 monthly meeting of Adair Fiscal Court.
