Just a clarification of the definition of "weed." A weed is any plant that is growing "out of place." A corn plant is a weed in a soybean field but a productive, desirable plant in a corn field. We have commonly referred to weeds as anything we don't like growing in our yards, flowers, fields etc. but a weed is merely a plant growing in a place where it should not be growing.
