Taylor County Grand Jury returns indictments TUE 9 June 2015

Indictments brought against 19 individuals, residents of Taylor, Green, Marion, and Hardin. Charges include assault, theft of identity, theft by unlawful taking farm equipment, criminal possession of forged instrument, drug charges, wanton endangerment, promoting contraband, criminal abuse, shoplifting, and burglary

NOTE: Indictments are considered formal charges. An indictment is not a finding of guilt. An individual charged by indictment is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty at some later criminal proceeding.

The Taylor County, KY Circuit Court grand jury, Campbellsville, KY, returned indictments against the following individuals on Tuesday, 9 June 2015:


  • Nicholas Spencer (D/O/B: 09/06/1986), Blue Hole Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00091. Charged with 2 count(s). Counts 1 and 2 - Theft of identity of another w/o consent. Bond set at $1,500/10%, no contact with victim.

  • Jessie T. Edelen (D/O/B: 06/30/1994), Spurlington Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00092-001. Charged with 1 count(s). Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition farm equipment $500 or more but under $10,000. Bond set at $10,000/10%, no contact with victim.

  • Joshua I. Gilmer (D/O/B: 06/03/1994), Hibernia Ridge Rd., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00092-002. Charged with 1 count(s). Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition farm equipment $500 or more but under $10,000. Bond set at $10,000/10%, no contact with victim.

  • Codie Bryant (D/O/B: 11/11/1996), Penick Ave., Greensburg, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00092-003. Charged with 1 count(s). Count 1 - Theft by unlawful taking or disposition farm equipment $500 or more but under $10,000. Bond set at $10,000/10%, no contact with victim.

  • Johnny D. Underwood (D/O/B: 10/29/1958), Highland Dr., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00095. Charged with 3 count(s). Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree. Count 2 - Tampering with physical evidence. Count 3 - Persistent felony offender, 1st degree. Bond set at $5,000/10%.

  • Christopher Anderson (D/O/B: 03/17/1987), Page St., Campbellsville, KY Indictment 15-CR-00099. Charged with 7 count(s). Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, drug unspecified. Count 2 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Count 3 - Giving peace officer a false name or address. Count 4 - Operating on suspended or revoked license. Count 5 - Resisting arrest.   • Doug Wheeler (D/O/B: 10/04/1987), Bell Ct., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-00100. Charged with 7 count(s). Count 1 - Possession of controlled substance, 1st degree, 1st offense (cocaine). Count 2 - Promoting contraband, 1st degree. Count 3 - Possession of controlled substance, 3rd degree, drug unspecified. Count 4 - Operating on suspended or revoked license. Count 5 - Failure of non-owner operator to maintain required insurance, 1st degree. Count 6 - Failure to wear seat belt. Count 7 - Persistent felony offender. Bond set at $2,500/10%, no drugs, no alcohol.

  • Kevin Jones (D/O/B: 04/29/1988), Bell Ct., Campbellsville, KY Indictment No. 15-CR-101. Charged with 2 count(s). Count 1 - Criminal abuse, 1st degree (victim under 12). Count 2 - Assault, 1st degree. Bond set at $100,000 full cash, no contact with complaining witness.
