I prefer things to look as natural as possible . . . and, since the morning glories were mown around, it should've been obvious this was a "flowerbed" . . .

Peggy, the chicory didn't survive the spraying nor the mowing on our road . . .

Joyce Coomer: The morning glories

2015-07-09 - Adams Alley, Columbia, KY - Photo by Joyce Coomer.
Joyce Coomer writes: "Here are photos of the morning glories the one time I managed to get them left alone long enough to bloom. Sadly, they were cut down a few days later, even though they were still blooming. Thankfully, some blooms had matured and seeded so there was a start for the next year. The blooms are no more than an inch wide, if that large. There used to be a crop of white ones further down the sidewalk from the red ones but constant mowing has obliterated them."
