Pruitt funeral home, 202 North Main Street, Jamestown, KY, and will continue on July 11, 2015 from 9amCT, until funeral services begin at 11amCT at the Jamestown Christian Church, 65 S Main Street, Jamestown, KY. Pallbearers for the service include: Lee and Trey Stephens, Justin and Brandon McClure, Mendel Sexton, Dale Coe, Howard Kent Popplewell, and Dean Popplewell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George W. McClure, and her brother Bill Reeser. Ima Gene McClure, 90, Russell Co., KY (1924-2015) She was born on August 22, 1924, in Livingston, TN, and was the daughter of Rube and Alva Reeser. She died Wednesday, July 8, 2015, in Columbia, KY, at the age of 90 years, 10 months, and 16 days. She was a 1943 graduate of Overton County High School and attended Cookeville Technical College. After serving as City Clerk for Jamestown, KY, she began her career as the Selective Service Clerk, (Draft Board Clerk), for Russell County. After the closing of Russell County's Office, she served in this position for Adair and Pulaski County until her retirement. Besides her professional career, Ima Gene was a member of the Jamestown Christian Church & Women's Guild, Business and Professional Women's Club, Eastern Star, Jamestown Library Board, Jamestown Industrial Board, and Kentucky Colonel Association.
