He was founder of Slinker Construction Company. He was of the Baptist faith. He was the son of the late Haskell and Lucille Spears Slinker. His wife, Ann Slinker survives. He leaves four direct living descendants.

Gary Lee Slinker, age 69, of Edmonton, KY, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 11amCT, Saturday, June 27, at Butler Funeral Home, 2015, in Edmonton, KY, with burial in the New Liberty Cemetery. Visitation will will be from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, Friday, June 26, 2015, and after 9amCT, Saturday at the funeral home.



He was the son of the late Haskell and Lucille Spears Slinker.

He was of the Baptist faith and founder of Slinkers Construction.

He is survived by his wife Ann Slinker of Edmonton, KY and the following:
  • Two sons: Scottie Mosby of Knob Lick, KY; and Greg Slinker of Glasgow, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Raelyn Mosby and Amber Slinker

  • His brothers and sisters in laws: Kenny (Sheila) Scott, Tim (Jan) Scott, Debbie (Garry) Harper and Lynn Daniels

  • An uncle Joe Spears and wife Wanda

  • Several nieces and nephews also survive
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by the following. A sister Shirley Froggett, grandmother Cordelia Spears and a sister in law Fanny England.

Butler Funeral Home, 201 East Street, Edmonton, KY, in charge of arrangements.
