Adair Welding Fabrication Team in National Competition

The Adair County Welding Fabrication Team competes today, Wednesday, June 24, 2015, in the South wing of the Expo Center, 937 Phillips Lane, Louisville in national competition.

As superintendent, I join all Adair countians in supporting Mr. Barney Taylor and this talented, driven team of young people in spirit!

ACHS Welding Fabrication team at SkillsUSA competition

The Adair County High School Welding Fabrication Team completed their project in the national SkillsUSA competition Wednesday, June 24, 2015. The team, from left, Dusty Claiborne, Chad Scholl, and Joshua Grant, built a barbecue smoker. They said they felt really good about the outcome and with the 150 question written test they were required to take today. A total of 190 college and high school students completed today. Another group will compete on Thursday. The ACHS team won't know until the awards ceremonies on Friday, June 26, 2015 who has won this competition. The team was accompanied to Louisville by their coach and teacher, Barney Taylor. - SHAMARIE CLAIBORNE.
