Mr. John Edward Orr, 79, Kettle, KY (1936-2015) He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, a U. S. Air Force Veteran with Strategic Air Command, a Teacher, a Coach, an Administrator at Junior High, High School and College levels and extended school programs, an Executive Director of the Housing Authority of Burkesville, Kentucky; a Classroom Teacher for the Endeavor Program of Cookeville, Tennessee, a member of the N.E.A., the American Legion, the N.R.A. and was active in the church and community. A Prayer Service will be held on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, beginning at 6pmCT, in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, 601 N Main Street, Burkesville, KY, with Father Larry Gelthaus officiating. The family will receive friends after 3pmCT, on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 until the prayer service hour. Mr. John Edward Orr, 79, Kettle, KY (1936-2015) He was born in Hammond, Indiana on Monday, April 27, 1936, the son of Raymond A. and Rose H. Collette Orr. He died Sunday, June 21, 2015, in Burkesville, Cumberland County, KY, at the age of 79 years, on months, and 25 days. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, a U. S. Air Force Veteran with Strategic Air Command, a Teacher, a Coach, an Administrator at Junior High, High School and College levels and extended school programs, an Executive Director of the Housing Authority of Burkesville, Kentucky; a Classroom Teacher for the Endeavor Program of Cookeville, Tennessee, a member of the N.E.A., the American Legion, the N.R.A. and was active in the church and community. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Colleen Orr; and two nieces, Janine Kenward and Carolyn Abate. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Smith Orr of Kettle, KY, whom he married on Saturday, June 1, 1957, and the following:
