Rachel Wilson, 81, Columbia, KY (1933-2015)

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was a native of Adair County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Oscar & Nancy Grant Edrington, and the widow of Willard "Smiley" Wilson. She leaves 24 direct living descendants.

Rachel Wilson, 81, of Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 10:50pmCT, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Funeral service, Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 12pm noon CT, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jimmie D. Cox officiating. Burial in Milltown Cemetery. Visitation will be after 5pmCT, Saturday, June 13, 2015, at the funeral home. Casket bearers - Brandon Cravens, Luther "Buddy" Cravens, Kenny Wilson, Robert Noegel, Tommy Gentry and Josh Dial



Rachel Wilson, 81, Columbia, KY (1933-2015)

She was born December 2, 1933, in Adair County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Oscar & Nancy Grant Edrington. She died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, at the age of 81 years, six months, and eight days. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Willard "Smiley" Wilson in 1995; and two brothers, Owen and Russell Edrington.

She was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Survivors Include:
  • Three sons: David and James Wilson, both of Columbia, KY; and Kenny Wilson of Louisiana

  • Two daughters: Terrie Cravens and Patty Noegel both of Columbia, KY

  • One brother: Ray Edrington of Campbellsville, KY

  • Two sisters: Evelyn Burton & Inez Powell both of Columbia, KY

  • Seven grandchildren

  • Eleven great-grandchildren

  • One great-great-grandchild
