Lucille Lanham, 68, Casey Co., KY (1947-2015)


She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She was a native of Casey County, KY, and a resident of the county at the time of her death. She was the daughter of the late Joe and Versie Patterson Logsdon and the widow of Leland Lanham. She leaves five direct living descendants.

Lucille Lanham died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at her home in Liberty, KY. She was 68.

Graveside services are 11amCT/12 noon ET, Friday, May 29, 2015 at Lanhamtown Cemetery in Casey County, KY, with Bro. Creech Richardson officiating. Burial will follow service. Pallbearers are Tommy Lee, Jason Foley, Kevin Walters, Thomas Simpson, Randy Wilson, and Larry Mondie. Honorary pallbearers are Myles Loy, Coby Loy, James Sneed, and her nieces and nephews.

Born Thursday, March 20, 1947 in Casey County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Joe and Versie Patterson Logsdon. She died Saturday, May 23, 2015, in Liberty, Casey County, KY, at the age of 68 years, two months, and three days.

She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include:
  • Two children: David S (and P.J.) Logsdon of Tifton, GA; and Shelia K. (and Tommy Lee) Coffman of Liberty, KY
  • Three grandchildren: Shauna and Brenna Saxon of Tifton, GA; and Michael "Mickey" Coffman of Liberty, KY
  • Two great-grandchildren, David and MaKayla Saxon
  • A sister: Gladys Stonecipher of Carlyle, IL
  • One special sister: Nancy Thomas of Russell Springs, KY
  • Several nieces and nephews
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leland Lanham; brother, Lucian Patterson; and two sisters, Ann Marie Hogue and Mildred Martin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to McKinney-Brown Funeral Home to help offset funeral expenses.
