She was the matriarch of a large, highly regarded family with 21 direct and 10 step living descendants. She was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church and a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lemon Sneed on September 20, 1972; one brother, Kalup Burris; three sisters, Zelma Crawhorn, Magdalene Sneed and Ruby Compton; two grandchildren, Michael and Chad Compton; and two great-grandchildren. She was a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church and a homemaker. Survivors include:
