Johnie Isac Hurt, age 59, of Summer Shade, KY, died Monday, May 18, 2015, at his residence.

Funeral services were Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at 1pmCT, at the McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Road, Summer Shade, KY, with burial following in the Beaumont Cemetery. Visitation began at 9amCT, Wednesday, May 20, and continued until time of services.



Johnie Isac Hurt, 59, Summer Shade KY (1956-2015)

Born February 25, 1956 in Glasgow, Barren County, KY, he was a son of the late Johnie and Clora Wheat Hurt. He died Monday, May 18, 2015, in Summer Shade, KY, at the age of 59 years, two months, and 23 days.

He was the husband of Robin Prater Hurt, who survives. They were married September 23, 1972.

He was a self employed concrete finisher.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include the following:
  • Two sons: Johnie (Lottie) Hurt, Bedford, IN; and Travis Hurt, Edmonton, KY

  • Two sisters: Della Pitcock, Summer Shade, KY; and Doreen Clark, Bronston, KY

  • One brother: Darrell Hurt, Summer Shade, KY

  • Eight grandchildren

  • And two great grandchildren
> He was preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by one brother, Landis Hurt.

Memorials may be made to the Beaumont Cemetery.
