Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan meeting 21 May 2015 Public Notice By Judy Hachey News from Lake Cumberland Area Development District The Lake Cumberland Area Development District (LCADD) is in the process of updating the 2016 Lake Cumberland Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. A Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan meeting will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 9amCT at LCADD, 2384 Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Meeting participants will review the scope of work, identify local planning teams, identify critical infrastructure, discuss and evaluate hazards and hazard areas, discuss recent disasters, identify existing emergency procedures, and identify recent and proposed hazard protection measures. The geographic scope of the Lake Cumberland Regional Hazard Mitigation Plan includes 14 incorporated cities and all unincorporated land within Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Pulaski, McCreary, Russell, Taylor, and Wayne counties. The Plan, which is updated every five years, forms the foundation for long-term strategies to reduce disaster losses and break the cycle of disaster damage, reconstruction and repeated damage.
