COF: Mystery Solved - Where the voters went

Happened when the Gummit built dam dam. Gummit seems to have clean forgot about Knifley. 'Here at the Round Table' COF writes, the gummit isn't needed. "' ... we seem to have enough talent to foul things up on our own without needin' the Gummit's help ta do it.
Commentary in response to: Analysis, Registered Voters: From Great Wooded South University

By The Crusty Ole Fool, aka COF

Oncet agin, the KU Round Table has cussed an dis-cussed the hi's en lo's of the situation and absolved the enigma.

For those whose memory organ goes back afore the gummit built thet dam and formed the lake whar thar weren't one, they might jest recall how Sudley Fowler dealt with that underhanded polecat of a revenooer who trifled with the fair Darkus.

Them big city newspapers only dealt with part of the tale. The straight and narrow of it is thet Sudley and Clayton sicced sech a fright inta the dastardly fellow an his crew thet word went round Federal circles to stay clear and far from Adair County.

Lo and Behold, these many years later thar ain't a G-man, census folk included, with enough heart to venture into this here part of Ridge country.

So it seems thet over the years they must have jest clean forgot about us or choose to pretend we jest ain't here.

Which, here at the Round Table, suits us jest fine as how we seem to have enough talent to foul things up on our own without needin' the Gummit's help ta do it.

Where we know where we are and are jest as happy the Gummit don't.
