Lane closures on I-75 in Rockcastle Co. begin May 10th Pavement improvements should be complete by August 1st By: Amber Hale SOMERSET, Ky. (May 4, 2015) – Beginning Sunday May 10, current nighttime lane closures on Interstate 75 in Rockcastle County will be increased to 24-hour closures as crews continue pavement improvement project. North and southbound lane reductions beginning at mile point 65.22 and ending at mile point 68.78 will increase to a 24-hour period daily Sunday through Thursday for approximately six weeks. No lane closures will occur between 7 a.m. Fridays through 6 p.m. on Sundays. Motorists are reminded that speed limits remain reduced from 70 to 55 mph through the work zone and double fines are in effect. Work is scheduled to be completed by August 1st. The duration of work may be adjusted for inclement weather or other unforeseeable delays. Drivers should expect delays and are encouraged to allow extra time in reaching their destinations.
