Laverda Brockman, Russell Springs, KY, died Friday, May 1, 2015, at Taylro County Hospital, Campbellsville, KY.

Funeral services will be at 3pmCT, Sunday, May 3, 2015, at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 E Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY with Bro. Larold Gosser officiating. Visitation will be after 1pmCT, Sunday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Birdie Russell Cemetery, Windsor, KY.

Laverda was born in Russell Springs, Kentucky on July 6, 1946. She was a daughter of the late Eva (Eads) and Trulen Withers. She died Friday May 1, 2015, in Campbellsville, Taylor County, KY, at the age of 68 years, nine months, and 26 days.

She was a member of Cedar Springs United Baptist Church and a former factory worker at R.R. Donnelley.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Brockman, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • Two sons: Joseph Brockman, of Liberty, KY; and Douglas Brockman, of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Madeleine and Jaxon

  • Two sisters: Wanda, wife of Joel Gambrel, of Knoxville, TN; and Regina, wife of Johnny Bernard, of Russell Springs, KY
