Mrs. Janie Kaye Morgan of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late James Ernest Robertson and N. Maxine Morgan Robertson, was born on Saturday, June 28, 1952 in Barren County, Kentucky, and departed this life on Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Fayette County. Kentucky. She was 62 years, 9 months, and 24 days of age.

The funeral services for Mrs. Janie Kaye Morgan will be conducted at 2pmCT, Friday, April 24, 2015 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home, 206 S Main Street, with burial to follow in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Bro. Phil Lowery and Bro. Billy Beard will be officiating. Visitation is requested 2pmCT-8pmCT, Thursday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home and after 7amCT, Friday until time of the funeral service.



Pallbearers: Brandon Cox, Brock Cox, Eric Rupe. Little Jay Morgan, Little Josh Morgan, and Josh Morgan, Sr.

Honorary pallbearers: Marcus Lobb, Jake Thompson, Jeff Spaulding, Jacob Syra. Mark Price.

She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the House of Prayer in Edmonton. She was also a homemaker, KY.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Randall Jason Morgan, Sr., having united in marriage on January 9, 1970, and the following:
  • Three daughters and two sons-in-law: Tracy and Mark Price of Hodgenville, Laranda and Mark Lobb of Greensburg, KY; and Tanya Syra and her companion Jackie Vibbert of Metcalfe County, KY

  • Two sons and a daughter-in-law: Jason and Stacy Morgan of Greensburg, KY; Josh Morgan and his companion Justine Tolliver of Green County, KY

  • Eleven grandchildren: Eric Rupe, Little Jay Morgan, Brandon Cox, Brock Cox, Brilynne Jessie, Kylee Morgan, Little Josh Morgan, Summer Lobb, Marcus Lobb, Hayley Lobb, and Jacob Syra

  • Two great-grandchildren: Kaylee Jo Lynn Morgan, and Makaylay Rain Rupe


  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Mrs. Morgan was also preceded in death by a sister: Debbie Whitehead.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
