Chesley Richards, 95, Russell Co., KY (1920-2015)

He was a deacon at Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church and an automotive mechanic by trade. He leaves six direct living descendants spanning four generations.

Chesley Richards, 95, of Russell Springs, was born January 19, 1920 in Russell County, KY. He was the son of to the late Brice & Laura Grider Richards. He died Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, KY, at the age of 95 years, three months, and two days.

Graveside service for Chesley Richards will be 11amCT, Thursday, April 23, 2015 at the Russell Springs City Cemetery, Lakeway Drive, Russell Springs, KY, with Bro. Wayne Keith and Bro. Billy Silverman officiating and burial to follow. Visitation will be after 8amCT, Thursday, Bernard Funeral Home, 367 N Main Street, Russell Springs, KY.


Pallbearers: David Barnett, Phillip Robertson, George Robertson,, Steven Pierce, and Terry Pierce.

He was a auto mechanic and a deacon at Oak Grove Separate Baptist Church. Survivors include the following:
  • Two daughters: Ann Johnson Phyllis Richards, both of Russell Springs, KY

  • Two grandchildren: David Barnett and Lisa Crew

  • One great grandaughter: Amber Dawn Grider

  • One great great grandson: Bradon Grider
