Judge Stephens makes statement on appeal

From the County Judge Executive's office
We are receiving many calls in the Judge's office regarding the interest of an appeal process in the mayor's election....for the record, the county Judge's office stands totally neutral in this process. However, after conversations with the county clerk, our county attorney, and state agencies they advise neither our insurance carriers nor our bond holders or any party's bond holders will be held liable for legal or procedural actions taken on an appeal. So therefore, the county taxpayers could possibly, ultimately foot the bill for any appeal process, which is clearly a concern for me as the steward of the county's monies and business. - Holly Grimsley, Adair County Deputy Judge/Executive, Adair County Fiscal Court, 424 Public, Square Suite 1, Columbia, Ky. 42728, Office: 270-384-4703
