Larry Smith made a visit Saturday, April 18, 2015, and, as usual, came back with some photo(s) his readers on CM and listeners on FM 92.7 the WAVE and FM 99.9 the Big Dawg are loving. They are now in CM photo archives, and, to make it easier for Larry Smith fans, collected in a small album (unless he adds more to it.)

Memories of Stephen Foster as Derby time nears

2015-04-21 - Bardstown, KY - Photo by Larry Smith, FM 99.9 The Big Dawg, FM 92.7 the WAVE.
"With the Kentucky Derby coming up May 2, 2015, I thought a reminder would be appropriate of Stephen Foster's visit to Kentucky and the house which inspired the song we'll hear as the horses ride to the starting gate. He's best remembered for that visit in 1852, so much so that Kentuckians often forget that he was not born here, and did not live here, but made an immortal impact on the Commonwealth in a way others can only aspire to do." - LARRY SMITH, Operations Manager, Shoreline Communications.
